Jadestone Backgammon Network may have a lot of bots (Updated: Management took action)
Update 20.12.2012
Betfair management issued an official response regarding the issue. The full information could be read in our news post Betfair Backgammon Resolve the Jadestone Bot Issue.
Original News Post

Recently I have been contacted by a professional bulgarian backgammon player - Sevdalin Tsvetanov.
He told me that he has played versus bots on the Quick Play mode and Custom Game mode. First of all I did not believe that because I needed some proof. Then he gave me videos of games that he believes have bots in it and I was honestly shocked. Even if we set aside the fact that players at these games play stronger than any human, the types of plays that are done are shocking. There are some plays that no human being will do, not with the time bank a player has to do the move.
What has Jadestone done so far?
Sevdalin tried contacting the support and informed them about the current situation. He provided them with usernames and videos as proof almost a month ago. The result is that this is still ongoing even with the same players (bots). It is easy to suppose that Jadestone has in fact done nothing to resolve the issue.
We would like to have an official answer from Jadestone or any of rooms that are part of the network.
Conclusion
At the moment we issue an warning to either avoid or watch out the Jadestone Network when playing backgammon. This relies the most the Quick Play mode because you can easily play against a bot without knowing.
As long as the problem is unresolved we recommend you to try out StarGames and Skill7 which are the best backgammon rooms at the moment.
